The Group has projected the 25% growth in 2007.

TD Baltic is one of the few companies in the region, which operations in the Baltics are established as one structure without the main head office.

Company uses various sales channels including modern IT solutions such as e-commerce, through which 55% of all net sales were generated in 2006 and this proportion is set to grow further this year.

History
The history of TD Baltic has started in 1993, when Computer 2000 opened its sales representative office in Tallinn. The aim of the sales representative office was to provide an emerging Estonian IT market with major IT hardware products and software.

The company had a strategic goal to operate in all Baltic countries and thus established subsidiary companies in Latvia (Computer 2000 Latvia) in 1996 and in Lithuania (Computer 2000 Lithuania) in 1997.

After establishment in all three Baltic countries, the Group gained power to attract more world famous producers to the Baltic IT market, continuously enlarging its market share and profitability.

The Group’s relationships with global IT producers started in 1993 when agreements with HP and IBM (Lenovo) were signed. In 1999 the first agreement with Microsoft was signed, whereas Fujitsu-Siemens Computers and ACER joined the portfolio in 2002 and 2003 respectively.

Since year 1999 Company has changed hands twice and each time the transfer of ownership was marked by a change of corporate name.

Computer 2000 decided to exit from the Baltics in 1999 and the Group’s shares were sold to Tech Data (USA). Group companies were renamed to Tech Data Eesti, Tech Data Latvia and Tech Data Lietuva.

In 2004 Tech Data Baltic entities were sold to the Group’s management during MBO, financed by the Swedish Askembla Growth Fund. The new owners gave the name of TD Baltic, an acronym for”Technology Distribution in the Baltic States“. Today the Group’s companies are known as TD Baltic AS in Estonia, TD Baltic SIA in Latvia and TD Baltic UAB in Lithuania.

In 2004 the Group’s warehouse was moved from Finland to Vilnius from where all three Baltic countries are serviced. This also allowed the Group to successfully outsource logistic operations to the third party.

This strategic step allowed TD Baltic to become the first in the market to offer a service of logistics partner to its customers.

In 2005 Lithuanian IT market became the largest in the Baltic region and management decided to relocate to Lithuania. As of that year the core operations of the Group are managed from Vilnius.
